In early September, Google launched its Google AI Plus subscription as a low-cost alternative to Google AI Pro, but only in Indonesia. Today, it revealed that Google AI Plus is now available in 40 additional countries.
“Google AI Plus is our newest plan designed to help more people do more with Google AI for less,” Google One director of engineering Rohan Shah explains. “We launched this plan first in Indonesia, and the reception has been really positive, so we’re looking forward to bringing it to more countries.”
Prices vary by country and Google AI Plus is not available in the U.S., but it looks like this low-cost plan is about $5-6 per month per user. By comparison, Google AI Pro costs $20 per month per user in the United States and Google AI Ultra is $250 per month per user. But Google AI Plus is now available in Mexico, where it costs MXN$99 per user per month (about $5.40 USD), compared to Google AI Pro at MXN$395 (about $21.50 USD) and Google AI Ultra at MXN$4949 (about $270 USD).
Google AI Plus provides 200 GB of Google Drive storage, compared to 2 TB for Google AI Pro and 30 TB for Google AI Ultra. It lets you access Gemini capabilities in Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and other Google services, provides higher limits in NotebookLM, and gives you more access to the Veo 3 image-to-video model. And you can share it with up to 5 people,
